A powerful, fresh, round wine full of aromas and elegance.
The exact origin of the Syrah variety is still unknown, but it is characteristic of the northern Côtes du Rhône area, where it has been grown for centuries. Today its cultivation is spreading rapidly all over the planet from Italy to Australia via South Africa, Argentina and even Mexico. It is known for its red wines, but Syrah rosés are also of great value, packed with fruit and very elegant.
Syrah cultivated in Pays d’Oc readily expresses the variety’s fine qualities. Roche Mazet has selected wines in the different areas in order to offer a blend that displays all the aromatic potential of the variety. The unique taste of Roche Mazet Syrah Rosé combines the well-matched originality and character of these different aromatic expressions.
Roche Mazet Syrah Rosé stands out with its amazing pink robe and raspberry-coloured tints. It has an attractive nose of red berries and pear drop set off by a spicy note. On the palate, the fruity aromas open up on the finish with tangy highlights that are delicately underpinned by very elegant tannins.
Served chilled between 10° and 12°C (50° to 54°F), this fruit-packed wine is an ideal match for grilled fish, white meats and spicy dishes.
Cod fillet: with its tangy flavour the Syrah Rosé will provide a kick for the cod’s softness.
Omelette with mushroom and bacon pieces: the spicy notes of the Syrah Rosé are a great match for the smokiness of the bacon and the elegance of the mushrooms.
Caramelised chicken with ginger: with its aromatic clout, the Syrah Rosé marries perfectly with the exotic tastes of this dish.
Pays d’Oc is a vast mosaic of wine growing situations and conditions.
Roche Mazet picks out the places where the best of each grape variety is expressed and carefully blends them together with respect and great passion.
